1-DAY SEMINAR FOR 60 TEACHERS ON DIABETES IN OGUN STATE (May 2022)

The Talabi Diabetes Center is built on 4 key tenants, i.e. Awareness Creation, Education, Care and Research. In achieving these objectives, it is the customary goal of the Center to annually run educational and training programs, workshops, seminars and symposia as deemed fit, for patients and healthcare personnel and the general community on diabetes and allied diseases.

On 11th, May 2022, the Center in collaboration with the Ogun State wing of the Nigerian Union of Teachers, N.U.T, organized a 1-day seminar on diabetes to educate this important segment of our society on what diabetes is and the preventive steps that can be taken against diabetes.

60 teachers from the Ogun State wing of the Nigerian Teachers Union (N.U.T) were in attendance along with other educationist in the state.

The topics addressed by our facilitators during the event includes the following:

• Role of diet in prevention and management of diabetes
