The Club was formally launched during the Centre\u2019s 2012 WDD Lecture when participating schools\u2019 members had a debating competition titled: <strong>&#8220;Civilization and Modern Foods &#8211; Have They Improved Human Health?\u201d<\/strong><\/p><p>The Vision of the Club is to educate secondary school pupils (that is Nigerian youths) about Diabetes, Hypertension and General Healthy Lifestyle Practices and encourage them to imbibe the same with the goal of stimulating them as Agents of Change in their respective communities. This, we believe is a worthwhile investment for the future of the State and indeed the country. Though enrollment has been slow, the Centre is not daunted, it continues with its enrolment drives to schools.<\/p><p><strong>World Diabetes Congress<\/strong><br \/>From inception the Centre has been involved in World Diabetes Day activities and had presented Abstracts at some Congresses.
